Trout Lily
The campus of the University of Southern Indiana

Trout Lily—Erythronium americanum. This flower is reportedly named after the fish due to the mottled spots seen on the plant’s leaves. Only the yellow variety is found at USI, although the white trout lily is found elsewhere in the tri-state.
