2002 ACE Media & Merchandise Auction Coming in October The Media and Merchandise Auction provides important funding for club activities, including the ACE Scholarship Program. Since 1971, ACE has awarded $94,700 in college scholarships to Tri-State area students who plan to pursue degrees in advertising and related fields.The highlight of each year's event is the Media Auction, conducted by well-known Evansville auctioneer Hugh Miller. Local media, including radio and television stations, newspapers and production facilities donate air time, print advertising space and related services. Winning bidders are rewarded with greatly discounted prices on these advertising services. The "Big Bidness" Merchandise Auction features silent bidding on hundreds of items donated by area businesses, including golf equipment, jewelry, furniture, gift certificates, fine art, collectibles, and much more. |
